Waking up right in front of the ocean is the best way to wake up. Stayed in one of the bungalows, which was a dream: spacious, airy, with a private deck overlooking the garden and the sea. The plunge pool is amazing on hot days. Delicious drinks, breakfast and dinner. Ryan is an amazing host and has created a truly wonderful place on Bastimentos!
Great spot to recharge and unplug from modern city life. Fantastic base for day trips to explore the surrounding islands and beaches. I am missing the beautiful breakfast that Michelle prepared for us each day and missing Kevin’s smiling face. The staff at Firefly showed us hospitality with a very personal touch. The Firefly team made my family and I feel very welcome. I don’t think that my son will every forget the day that he caught enough fish for all of us. The generosity of spirit that Michelle and the team showed him by preparing the fish in so many beautiful ways was felt deeply by all of us. It has been amazing to see my 16-year-old son wake up enthused and excited to be alive every morning on Bastimentos.
I had an amazing experience staying at The Firefly! The location was beautiful and offers views of the ocean, both from the rooms and from the common areas. The vibe is very friendly and Ryan was an amazing host. I enjoyed talking to him and he offered some great recommendations for surf breaks, restaurants, and other things to do in the area. And the food was top notch. You won't want to miss out on having dinner at Firefly during your stay. Overall, my experience staying here was one I'll never forget.
This place is amazing! The food and cocktails are inspired. The ocean is right there, falling asleep and waking up in this dreamy location is chill inducing. Both Ryan and Michelle were the perfect hosts for this guest’s stay.
First of all, the food is freshly cooked and really tasty. Before ordering you will be informed the menu is like tapas - it is recommended to order two dishes. The issue is - when you do it like tapas, you have to charge like tapas. The portions are way to small - you cant charge 10$ for 10 gnocchis. This bad value for money sadly ruins your experience.
