Plan at least three nights here, this place is the dream. We had a private room, which is in cute little huts in the jungle. Any fun day activities can be booked at the hostel directly and started from here. Be aware that there is no public kitchen, so food and drinks are served restaurant style. Dinner is served for everyone at the same time family style. Super social and fun.

We arrived for 3 magnificent nights. We booked directly from their website. A privet room with a bathroom and a jungle view. It was fantastic. We eat breakfast and dinner witch was lovely. Every day the team post the menu for dinner, and u need to order before 6PM , and it serves at 7:20PM The stuff was so sweet and helpful. The barefoot jungle hike was a real fun. On top of everything there is a special family vibes. We contacted with so many beautiful people. The place is eco friendly so there is no AC. An it wasn’t necessary. Very clean. There is no fridge in the room But they gave us ice as we asked.

This absolutely stunning hostel was easily the best place we stayed in Central America - by a mile. I can honestly say i’ve never come across such a friendly, helpful and authentic group of staff and it was so reasonably priced for what was essentially paradise. The place is spotless, the food was delicious, the tours were amazing, we met the most amazing people there and we saw sloths from sat on our sun beds. Whilst the hotel is secluded on an island with no accessible shops etc, getting to the main island took 5 minutes and could be arranged cheaply at any time. Couldn’t recommend a hostel more. This is the only accommodation out of dozens that i’ve bothered to review because it would be criminal not to.

Accidentally booked the Bocas Town Bambuda instead of the Bambuda Lodge. I messaged them instantly asking to switch the booking. They refused, so disappointed as I was excited to stay there but as a backpacker I can’t afford to pay twice so will have to find another hostel.

I truly had the best 7 nights at bambuda! I’m a female solo Traveller 30 years old and I love how they mix boutique hotel vibes with a chill hostel. I stayed in one of the canopy rooms and absolutely loved it, great view, comfy mattress, very beautifully furnitured. I loved the relaxed vibes, it’s easy to meet other Travellers but you can also just be for yourself if you want to. There’s no super drunk people, it’s not a party hostel (thankfully), it’s a very laid back, friendly place with very nice people working there. The laundry service is also great and I always had a good time at the family dinners. If you book tours from a company in town they can pick you up for a small fee - I highly recommend visiting starfish beach! And I would recommend to stay at least 3 nights, so you get to experience the vibe properly. Definitely also visit hospital point for snorkeling, they organize a hike there daily. If I had to say anything negative I would have loved some granola and yogurt for breakfast, but if that’s the only negative point it must have been a very good stay (which it was :)). And make sure you try the pancakes!
