Mixed fillings. On one side we liked it because the owner is nice and responsive, the place has an amazing view over the see and the mangrove, the staff is nice and friendly, the restaurant is good, and it does not take too long to go by boat to the main island (around 5-10min). But we were a bit disappointed by certain things. We were excited to have a calm and secluded honeymoon week to relax but the staff had friends over the whole week. There were beer cans left over the place for days, they were fishing with a diaper box out on the dock and left it the whole time with dead fishes inside. A major part of the nights they were blasting ragaeton music. They were occupying the clients space in way we did not feel comfortable staying in the common areas (restaurant, deck, chairs). And last they had a (cute) puppy barking all the time. I don’t mind the staff does what they want when clients are gone during the day, but when clients, who paid this much price, are in the hotel, the quality standards must be higher than this. Then, for the shower, we had either boiling water or cold water. There are supposed to be 3 jet skis available to rent but none of them were working. Staying one week, we would have appreciated to get our bedroom cleaned at least once. They have a laundry service, but beware of the crazy prices : we had a small bag of clothes to wash, the staff did not announce us in advance how much it would be, and this service was 15$ for cleaned clothes not even folded. So all in all, it’s a nice place, but not an amazing quality-price ratio
The place is scenic and the scenery is beautiful, but after staying other places in Bocas del Toro we felt the accommodations were not worth the money spent, and the host was less welcoming than we would have hoped for. The location being farther away required a more expensive water taxi whenever we wanted to leave, ($8 per person each way) and food service at the restaurant was a little spendy compared to options on Colon.
Perfect romantic place with lovely people. The cabanas are cosy chill and Nice. Accommodations are great and the restaurant is one of the Best in Bocas del toro. Enjoy 100% ????????????
The truth is that we liked the place itself, it is quiet and beautiful, the room is cozy and has beautiful views. The downside is that it is not very soundproof, you can hear the next room perfectly. Wifi connection is practically non-existent in the whole place. But the reason why I rate it 3 stars is because of Katy's lack of professionalism, (I guess when the bosses are not like that) but in our case she was only on staff and it seemed that she was annoyed by our presence and having to work when we ask for something. We did not feel welcome at all. Also the food is very limited and expensive for what it is. In general, the place lacks empathy and love.
